ALSW was established in November 2008 by Sam Paddon and John Fahy.. Both Sam and John are experienced health and social care managers living in the South West, with experience working for care organisations, charities and the NHS at a national level.
They wanted to bring their expertise and experience back home to their local area, and provide the very best standards of care and support based on all the best practice and research available.
Our first supported living unit for clients with learning and physical disabilities was based in Heavitree, Exeter. and opened in July 2009. Since then, we have developed a network of 17 specialist residential and supported living homes across Devon and Dorset. We also support people in their own homes who have complex health and/or support needs We provide 24-hour support from highly-trained staff and all services are provided under supervision from our professionally qualified nursing and therapy staff.
ALSW and our residential services are registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). For more details, please click here.
